The past few nights were great. The first night we had a show out in Florence, OR. That was great. The kids there were live and wild. It was great, the response was way better than we thought there'd be. Shout out to Wren for hooking it up with the show and the scrumptious pizza. Here's a pic of the crew out there in Florence...
So tonight we played in Fair Oaks, CA which is about 45 min south of Davis, which is a little south of Sacramento. We're staying in Davis tonight, and then we're heading out to San Jose to play a show with Push Push Pull (since we're on tour with them). It's really been great with PPP. They're so much fun. Pete is hilarious, he's the only white guy, but he keeps it real. Gary's super nice and a little contrite, while Bobby keeps everything full of energy. Dan the drummer is the old man of the band, but isn't older than everyone.
So far the response at these places have been okay, well, just like Florence, more than expected. But tour really is a test of everything. Test of faith, test of endurance, test of perseverance, physical strength, just all if it as a whole. Sometimes I think that God, in all of His glory and majesty puts us through seasons and things in our life to test us.
A guy named Josiah played tonight, and in one of us songs he said, "I struggle for you." God kind of spoke to me within that thought, and reminded me of how much He has struggled for me., for us. Not just on the cross, but daily to encourage us, to love us, and to get us living on the right path. Have you ever had a friend, and they do things that are totally against what you want them to do? Now in that case, I can see why God struggles with us on a daily basis. And so many times we don't see it. It's so heartbreaking once you realize that. Maybe we need to realize this more.
Anyways, for now that's the thought. Sleep well friends. More updates and pics to come soon. Below are some from the past shows. Enjoy!
