Hey everyone, so I thought I would blog tonight about the current situation of Iceland. If you did not know, Prime Minister Geir Haarde and his cabinet resigned from their positions in the Icelandic government, thus, this past Monday, Iceland's government has officially collapsed. A nation once one of the richest, the island of 300,000 people are now in protest and are need to find and delegate a new leader.
This is and should be a huge wake up call for us as the people of God to rise up and start praying. I know that it has been said that we are in the end times, but that is not excuse to stop praying for the world leaders of our time. It's a scary time for everyone. It seems that although our economy has gone down the crapper, the majority of us are still blessed with food, clothes, and families. Those of us in the US are honestly spoiled. What really gets to me is when we take advantage of our amenities and blessings. We should know that we are blessed that war and attacks on US soil have rarely happened since the independence of our nation. I might be rambling, but all the more, our hearts go out to those across the world. Sure they may not be a part of ours, but God loves them and still is in charge.
It's a scary thing being this young, knowing that someday I'll have kids, hoping that they will not have to grow up in a time of national depression. I guess that's my biggest fear. So please, continue to pray for our leaders that God would give them the wisdom to take us into greater times.
